Decent cheap build

Hi, Does anyone here know of any steady cheap builds? My cousin knows quite a few people who need computers and I would like to start building PC's for people. Basic needs are for internet and word processing some might need a lil gaming but i can tweak that for them individually. I am looking to spend no more than $350 US dollars on it. I will use this build as a start point and upgrade parts as needed. ThanksDecent cheap build

Try buying one of those barebone kits. I also I'm trying to build computers for people too lol!

Thanks, Man i am slow because i know a website i can just buy a PC from and go from there. Ecost.com has cheap computers I am leaning towards P4 devices because they are still pretty good these days.

For those that just need to check email and maybe surf the web a bit, a P4 will work. But if they want to do anything more then that, a little gaming, watching movies, transferring lots of files then you'd want to find something more along the lines of an older Core 2 Duo or an Athlon 64 X2.



I've got a P4 2.8GHz computer at work and there are some days I just want to kick that damn machine right out the window because it bogs down so much when I'm trying to utilize a few programs running at onces; like MS Outlook, Excel and Word. Granted I only have 512MB in the thing at work, which is part of the problem, but those are just basic things that start to slow the computer down.



Be sure to check out tigerdirect.com and look through their barebones kits - you can generally find an older Core 2 Duo barebone kit or a Athlon 64 X2 kit for $200-300. They'd be good for those that need more then just email and basic web browsing.

Will do, I use a P4 2Gb of RAM @ home to DL things and burn images, it works fine for the purposes i have it for. Most people that need a PC dont even have one and depending on their need i will adjust the Pc to them but I am trying to make some extra money on the side of course. Another question would be what type of Microsoft License would i need if i plan on building several Pc's and using a generic disc to do repairs and Operating system re-installs.

350 for gaming is real hard. But earlier someone made build for $400 CDN which was decent. That would come out to around 350 US. I think it was neatfeatguy who posted above :P

Its for just a normal PC user this is not for gaming. Trying to sell pc's to people who i know that need them
