Hey guys i recently returned my Nvidia GTX 275 card since i heard that the new ATI cards come out on the 10th of this month... What is soft launch i keep hearing about ? Is it only a limited amount of them will be awailable ?new ATI cards.. whats a Soft Launch ?

A soft launch is really just the release of the cardto show the product and allow testers and a select few to review them. Most likely you wont see them on the market until Oct.
Where it's sold out at the egg for like months.
Think ''paper launch''. ATi will claim they've launched the card, but you won't be able to find anyone that would have one for sale, much less be able to buy it.
Just like when they released the X800 XTPE... even though ATi designated the PE as ''Platinum Edition'', it became more appropriately called ''Phantom Edition'' because nobody on the planet could seem to be able to get one. Which only became more frustrating when all the major reviewers got their hands on them and were spouting off about their benefits.
