I have decided to build my first gaming PC! I am a complete noob at this, and I have no idea what I am doing.
I would appreciate if anyone could suggest a rig that is around $500 that would run L4D2 and MW2 smoothly.
Thanks for your help! :)First Time Building!

may have gone a bit over budget but if you need some help still then send questions to my inbox and I will get back to you later this morning (I have college class until around 10:00 AM).
I was thinking of adding $300 more to the budget. Would this do anything significant?
I was thinking of adding $300 more to the budget. Would this do anything significant?
It would be an amazing improvement. Also does this budget include the cost of a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and other things? Or is it just for the tower?
The budget's just for the tower. I already have a mouse/keyboard/etc.
Sorry for not including that before!

u can try making a similar build like mine :P but wtih $800 u could get a gtx 260 core 216
Ive been thinking about building my own gaming rig myself but wondered if I even need one yet. Here's my rig.
nvidia geforce 8800gt
windows vista home premium
intel core 2 quad cpu 2.4 ghz
3054 mb ram
I'm playing Crysis at decent fps on very high settings with shadows on low. I don't think I need to upgrade my gpu to a 260, 280?
