Video Card temperatures.

At idle mine runs at 48 degrees, and under workload around 55. Is this to hot or normal? I have an ATI Radeon Saphire HD 4830 512 Mb.Video Card temperatures.

Load temp is fine, but your idle temp is relatively high. If you haven't done this yet, try using Rivatuner or the ATi Overdrive Utility in order to turn up your fan speed. That should help with temperatures quite a bit.

perfectly normal, my 4850 idle at 50 degrees celcius and underworkload around 71 degrees...

That is fine.
Well my 8800GT's use to idle 50-55C with stock cooling. Under 50C idle should be fine
That's quite normal. My old card had very similar temps.

That should be fine. My 4890 idles at around 60-64 degrees, and goes up to around 75-80 on max load. Of course, this is on ATI's crappy fan control.
mm should be :| i idle 68C to 74C on a hot day.. and load up to 94-104 :| yea i'm getting a new case to make it cooler T_+

i have riva tuner increasing and decreasing depending on temp.. starts off i believe 45% @ 75C and 10% more when it crosses 10C+

it gets loud noticeably when it reaches 90%-100% :? but i'm getting a new case.. so it should reduce the heat X_x.. i hope
My card idles at 30-32c and loads at 42-46c, Thats thanks to my new case though.

Plus it runs cooler compared to the 9800GTX.
My 4890 oc'ed at 950/1050 65% fan speed 38C idle 60-75C max load94C - 104C thats a hot card lol isn't that near the melting/frying point?
You should invest in a custom aircooler if you are hitting 100 c o_O I know Zalman makes some pretty decent ones.
haha well i'm getting a new case hopefully this labor day it will arrive and i'll post what how drastic my temp drops XP if not.. do you think something else is going on behind the scenes O_o? i mean all the fans are running :o

Could be a botched job on the copper heatpipes or somewhat, which I doubt as mistakes like that are extremely rare.
