Should i upgrade vista to windows 7?Upgrading to Windows 7
If you have vista......no....Upgrading to Windows 7
No, also i had a jack daniel userbar and the mods told me to remove it because there are kids around here :?
Well for 100 dollars I'd say no, but back when they had the 50 dollar deal I would say YES. That's when I preordered my copy as for you i'd just wait until a possible price drop.
if you vista 64 bit no, but if you have 32bit and want 4gb + ram I'd get win7 64

I had Vista 32-bit and reformatted to Win7 RTM 32-bit. It gave me a huge performance increase.
Vista fully started up in about 1.5 - 3 min while Win7 is ready in 10 sec! My games don't stutter as much as they used to and I rarely hear my CPU fans roaring when I'm not using it... which was weird that Vista used so much of my CPU while idling :?
One other thing... Win7 gave me my RAM back for games instead of hogging it :x
If you have extra money to spend and truly use your PC for things that demand performance, go for it. Otherwise, nay.

I don't see a difference. I've been jumping back and forth between Vista and Windows 7 all year. I'd wait until Windows 7 specific stuff comes out. I've had way too many annoyances with stuff not working exactly right. Funny thing is, even if something was working in Vista, in Windows 7, I find myself using XP compatibilty mode alot.
I think it would be good to upgrade to windows 7 because its better than vista in every day work, more stable, future proof and eventually u will upgrade to windows 7 for DX11.
Upgrade to Window 7.....
Should i upgrade vista to windows 7?
Yes you should, keep moving along with technology. Windows 7 may not be a huge step but it does improve on things in many areas. And don't be left behind with the anti-Microsoft movement. I'll be movine on W7...and will be enjoying it.

Win7 is nothing more than Vista with a new name and a new look, with a few less and a few extra features. There will be little to NO difference in performance, outside of SSD, where Win7 does have quite an advantage.
I see no reason to avoid Win7, but at the same time, I do not see updating from Vista to Win7 to be worth it.
I am still on XP (I wish I could have afforded Vista) so I will be getting Win7, when I have the available funds. But if I had Vista already, I would not waste my money on Win7, but that just my $0.02.
what about downgrading from vista to xp?
I'm gonna have to agree with the users above, Win7 has given me a huge performance increase over XP. Although my ATI card doesn't have Win7 drivers yet, I'm sure this will be fixed... you know, when Win7 actually comes out.

vista will support DX11.
