Need help with resolution

Hey guys I was playing a game a few days ago and my laptop crashed suddenly. When I booted back up, the resolution was all stretched out. I tried going into options and changing the settings back, but it says that I'm already on the correct resolution. Anyone have any idea what I can do?Need help with resolution

The game's resolution is fine. It's my desktop's resolution that is stretched.
Set desktop resolution to a lower resolution and then back up at the normal resolution.
That doesn't work either. The windows are still huge and print is still scrunched and stretched.
