Alright i got a intel pentium dual core e2200 @ 2.00 GHz, 2GB RAM, and i got the intergrated graphics on the MOBO and they SUCK....so whats a decent low cost GPU that will run games like Guild Wars, WoW, Age of Empires 3 on at least medium settings? I beleive my power supply is 250 watt. thanks for all helpwhats a decent low cost GPU?
I dont think 250 watts is enough for anything now, when u upgrade that, u could look at the GT250, that should do medium on everything.whats a decent low cost GPU?

Get Ati 4770 it will fit you well.
also will my motherboard support the card? all i need is an open PCI- E x16 slot right? well that and the bigger PSU, cause this computer only cost like $400 i bought it mainly just for web browsing but i few pc games looked kinda fun (the ones i named)
i just looked at the 9600 gt it looks pretyy good, also will a new PSU fit in my case? its not one of those big gaming towers but its not a small form factor either
okay buddy im the real low end guru round here best thing for a 250 watt will probably be one of the following based on card slot:pci-express 1.0/2.0: 8400gs, hd 2400proagp x8: 8400gs, hd 2400propci: hd 2400prothats it thats all without upgrading your psu and it will do alot better than the games you listed and btw i can give you a rough idea where they stand:oblivion modified medium (no aa or af)poor resolution (1024 x 768) playable frames (30+ fps)guildwars: high - highest (noAA no AF) varied frames (25-40fps) at a resoltuion of 1440 x 900rainbow 6: vegas (see oblivion)WoW: high quality (no aa or af) playable frames (30+ fps) at a resolution of 1440 x 900red alert 3 (far more demanding than AoE3) high quality (no AA no AF) beyond playable frames (45+fps) resolution of 1440 x 900dawn of war : dark crusade max it out (full aa + af) playable frames (30+) resolution of 1440 x 900my conclusion: why spend money on a psu when there are quality options out there though the results for RA3 baffled me im blaming it on just poor developing that could be solved with a patch but they probably dont care. oblivion and rainbow 6 both did very fluid play only had it dp below 30fps once on each game to 25-26fps which lasted a whole 4 seconds (my gawd end of the universe) if you like i could also give you the preformance for the 8400gs on dow2..

thanks aura, now that i look at that ati card i see the power requirment is much lower than that of the 4670 and other cards. That is most likely gonna be the one i go with (I hear ATI cards are better than Nvidia for price to performance ratio) Finally ill be able to play with no 2 FPS haha
radeon 4650 if you want to game but have little $$$ for a gpu or for a bit more there is the 4670 and 4830 which are quite a bit better.

You can get a 450w PSU (generally around $25) off of Newegg, and an 8800 GT (or a 9800, which is essentially the same exact thing) for around $100. It'll get you through all of today's games and it just great to boot.
