Monitor native res 1680*1050What is the most effetive way to upgrade this PC? Most games runs on med to high settings with smooth frame rate. I wanna play Crysis and the new batman game at high settings. I've been thinking upgrade the graphic card to a 1GB version might help.Need help upgrading my gaming PC...
If possible, get another 8800GT for SLI. Otherwise, I would wait for the DX11 cards to show up, as your 8800GT is still a very good card and will probably max out Batman.Need help upgrading my gaming PC...
And overclock the cpu

Tell me what case you have and how much wattage the power supply has so that I can help you accordingly.
OVERCLOCK DAMN YOU!!!
:P
I have a 600watt OCZ PSU...

Overclock the CPU and add an ATi 4890.
why not wait for the new dx11 cards?

Of course he is smart! ;)Seriously though, 4890 will get the job done. On 1680x1050 res Tom's Hardware marked it at 48.2 FPS on High settings, No AA, No AF.

I was referring to Crysis frames of course.
Get a Prolimatech Megahalem, Artic Cooling MX-2 Thermal compound, overclock the **** out of that CPU and add a 8800GT or get a new card such has GTX 275/HD4890 or wait for new DX11 5xxx series cards.
ur pc is still pretty good

he doesn't need a mega, a Xigmatek Dark Knight wold damn well suffice for 4+ GHz on that CPU
getting even a 4870 is already an affordable, massive improvement, so he'll have money to spare when DX11 cards come out, so i say go with that,

Lol Tom's Hardware. It's almost insulting using that site as a reference tbh, though through no fault of your own.
TC, OC your CPU to 3.4 - 3.6 if you don't want to go too far, and grab another 8800GT if you can. That will pull you over for a while yet. Otherwise, invest in the GTX260 or 275, or even the 4890 as suggested.

They simply did the frames on the card in discussion. What's the difference between going to a mathematician or a 1st grade teacher on ''2+2=?''

I've seen so many tests that are incorrect, inconsistent or just outwright hilarious that I've given up trusting most of what that website says :P
