AMD Athlon 64 x2 4000+ OC'ed to 2.8Ghzcurrently: Nvidia Geforce 8400GS (yes the defective one. thank gof it didn't explode in the year or so i had it.)already ordered: Nvidia Geforce 9600 GSO (G92 core) w/ 512MB from newegg.let the insults begin. :P
AMD/NvidiaPhenom II x4 940/2x 8800GTS 512 in SLI
Intel/nVidia.
AMD Phenom II X2 550ATI Radeon 4890 1GBExcellent bang for very little buck. Not that i'm brand loyal, but I found Nvidia and Intel a tad pricy.
I've been using nVidia cards since I upgraded from my 16MB Voodoo 3 card. I would be willing to get an ATI card in the future, but they have a habit of abandoning old cards, and some driver updates are non existent. I actually have an ATI HD2600 Pro, but the drivers don't work with OpenGL games, or many other 3D applications for that matter. As far as Intel CPU's versus AMD CPU's, it all depends on who is offering the best performance when I build my PC...

This because i fold and i like performance for the money/watt.
i7 + GTX275Thinking back, I wouldn't mind building a 720BE + 4870x2 instead.
3 year old system. When I got it, Intel+ATI, upgraded to Nvidia. That card died last year and I got a better nvidia (though still crap im comparison to what my first nvidia card was when I got it)
AMD 550 x2 3.7ghz + HIS 4870 1GB
intel/nvidia. Core i7/9600gt (upgrading gpu soon)
i7 920+ gtx 270 8)
