4850 in crossfire?

helloi have one 4850 and cos of how cheap they are atm, (especially on ebay) im considering getting another.im just wondering, can you crossfire 2 of the same cards (4580) if they are made by different manufacturers?my mobo(p5q pro) only supports x8 crossfire, does that make a difference? i read somewhere theres only a 1-3 fps difference between x16.will a second one heat up my case (cm690)?is it worth going crossfire if i game at 1920 by 1080?thanks:)4850 in crossfire?
Yes, I would go into crossfire. BUT the main question is whats your full specs? if you have a BAD CPU its not worth it, Also mainly whats your PSU's specs?4850 in crossfire?
I love my Hd 4850. Wonderful card. I bought the HIS reference version of the card tho. It uses the same cooler that ATI themselves designed for the card and the same clock speeds.I can play every single game Ive thrown at it, at High settings w/ AA and AF enabled, Including Crysis. Its one of the best mid-range cards ATI has ever created in my opinion.Im sure a second one crossfired could easily best the GTX 275 in performance.

Oh and make sure you have a good power supply with plenty of wattage as well.

Yes they will. What also will work in crossfire is if you pair two different cards together as well such as a 4850 and a 4870 (however you will only get the performance of the weakest card in your system, so for example if I crossfired a 4850 with a 4870 then you would only get the performance of two 4850's in crossfire).

.

DX11 will also work on Vista I think they may be releasing a patch or something for that
Yes you can crossfire 2 different manufacturer cards but the faster one will downclock to match the slowest but it'll work
I'm waiting for the 5800 series to show up, but i'll probably get the new card instead of CF 2 4850 because i have the 512mb one and even if it's fine for my screen resolution (1680x1050) it's not enough for AA.

I have a 700w OCZ psu and i am getting a new pc and mobo and i will eventually xfire.
