The 6600 is no good, time to pick up a new videocard. Is it pci-e or AGP?
That means your graphics card has overheated. This is something that can't be fixed. You have to buy a new graphics card.

It's AGP
i had the same card like 5 years ago and it did the same thing

Yeah it's time to get a new card man. how much wattage does your power supply have? Also give us a budget.

My PSU is 400w. If i really do have to get a new graphics card then i guess i have a budget of about 100 pounds. Any recommendations?
You can pick a ATI 4650 AGP for under 100
