Can I use a hdtv as a monitor?

i see a lot of people using four 19'' pc monitors to play games but the gaps kinda ruin the look for me....so i was woundering if i could use a32'' hdtv insteadCan I use a hdtv as a monitor?
Yes you can. I use a 32'' TV as a monitor and it looks great. Can I use a hdtv as a monitor?
Sort of - I'm using one right now, which is extremely painless with audio-capable HDMI and a wireless keyboard and mouse.

However, you won't hit the same resolution as three (or even two) regular monitors side by side, if that's your main draw. If you just want size, or ease of watching media withother people HDTVs are great. If you want multiple windows available for viewing at the same time, you'd be better off with a handful of monitors.
So even if my card has hdmi the resolution wont be as good as 4 pc monitors?
The resolution would be 1920 x 1080 if its full HD or 1280 x 720 if its half HD, it can't go more since its a HDTV and TV work on standard resolutions.
I use my 37'' Westinghouse HDTV as one of my monitors. I run it at 1360 X 768 resolution, while I also run a 4:3 ratio standard monitor above it in ''dual-view mode'' at 800 x 600 resolution. The second monitor is where I keep the Windows bar %26 my desktop icons.
