Hi guys, I'm just looking for an AMD system, and I've got something which is quite unclear.1. What special things the AMD II x4 BLACK EDITION has over Non-Black Edition ones.2. Should I go for Ati HD4870x2 or 2x Ati HD4870 crossfired? Coz there is a significant difference in price. Which one performs better and more efficiently?Or should I go for 2x Ati HD4890 crossfired?3. Is there a big gap between DDR3 1333 and DDR3 1600? Again, should I go for 4GB DDR3 1600 or 6GB DDR3 1333?4. Why AMD chipset 790GX only costs half of the 790FX (though it seems they support the same specs)?5. Finally, with an expected system built above, how many watts does my PSU need, at least? You may suggest one.I know myPC knowledge sucks, so I hope u guys may explain. I'll much appreciate.:)CPU, GPU, Ram, Chipset, PSU... Help...
1. Unlocked multiplier wich means it's a lot easier to overclock2. 4870x2,less problems a bit better performanceIt depends on the resolution you wana play3. 4gb is enought for you gaming needs.5. At least 7-800 wattsCPU, GPU, Ram, Chipset, PSU... Help...

1. the unlocked multiplier makes overclocking a breeze.
2. 4870 in crossfire (performance is about the same for either but some games scale very well with crossfire).
3. Yes DDR3 1600 is much faster if you buy a low-latency kit of RAM.
4. 790FX will support two crossfire video card at full bandwidth (x16), however the 790GX supports two crossfire video cards at only (x8).
5. I would say that system will consume about 475 watts while gaming so it would be best to go with a 750 watt + wattage power supply.
Please send me a message if you have any more tech related questions.
1. Black editions have an unlocked multiplier, they are made for overclocking. If you aren't planning on overclocking you don't have to get a BE but having a BE doesn't mean you have to overclock it, it will work the same as the regular edition. The option is there if you ever consider it. 2. A HD4870x2 is only slightly better than 2x ATI HD4870 crossfired, get whichever is cheaper because differences are minimal and i heard the 4870x2 was discontinued?. ATI HD4890 crossfire is at times slightly better than a gtx295 and is better at higher resolutions but the gtx295 is cheaper. You may also want to wait for the upcoming Ati 5800 or Nvidia GT300 series. GTX295 vs 4890 Crossfire vs 4870X2 vs 4870 Crossfire - Benchmaks: www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ATI/HD_4890_CrossFire/1.html 3. Here's a site telling if there are any benefits with ram like 3GB vs 4GB vs 6GB vs 12GB ect. www.tomshardware.co.uk/memory-module-upgrade,review-31549.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3fIRK0GgvY - What you can do with more RAM If you will be overclocking your CPU, definately get 1600 over 1333, if not get 1333mhz RAM.If the motherboard and CPU you get supports tri-channel then get 6GB, if not then get 4GB. (Triple channel is like lanes on a highway more lanes means faster/more traffic (data) to move better.) 4. The 790GX has integrated graphics, the 790FX supports full crossfire at 16x, while the 790GX supports crossfire at 8x, you may consider that there is only a 5 -10% increase in performance from x8 - x16. If you are only going to run 1 video card i say go with the GX, and you can hybrid crossfire the on board graphics with an ATI card. If you plan on getting more than 1 video card then get the FX board, it's up to you really. 5. You will need at least a good brand 750W-800W PSU, i would recommend a Corsair HX750W.
Thank you all for your explanations, those were really worthy.;)

Yes,since it's a single card
