I would wait for the new cards to come out, their release is little more than a week away. You may also want to consider the i5 in terms of a processor.
i5, why is that?
i5, why is that?
Low power consumption, great performance to price ratio, fantastic overclocker (Reports say), why not an i5? Although the X4 955 is a great CPU also.
It's great, You'll love it!
is the i5 supposedly better than the AMD Phenom II X4 Black Ed.? Also, is my current PSU good enough to handle this rig?
fyi new cards will probably be out within a month if you're interested in waiting. That system is good though.
Also, be sure the hard drive you are getting is 32mb's of cache, not 16.
HD4890 uses 500W, that PSU should be fine.Also there's an XFX 4890 60 bucks off on Newegghttp://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150359%26cm_re=4890-_-14-150-359-_-Product

I see the memory clock as the primary difference.EDIT: Also, i am not interested in the new cards, rather, i am interested in when they will have a price drop for the current 4xxx series. Thanks!
