Of course! the 5870 will murder Crysis in every way!

Indeed it will.
But I can max Crysis, ArmA 2, and Clear Sky with the specs in my Sig. And I build it very much as a budget PC (around $900).
I am sure the DX 11 cards will show some improvement on performance. Whether or not they will defeat Crysis is unknown at this point. Unless you play at an uber high resolution, those games will probably run fine on most rigs nows a days (minus all the AA, an crap)

They will because the 5870 is going to have 1600 stream processors!

Until I see legitimate benchmarks and reviews, I will remain skeptic of anything I hear lurking on the interwebz. Of course I am probably wrong because everything on the internet is always right.
i've heard that a single hd4890 can handle crysis on highest settings. i may be wrong.
What people always forget is: RESOLUTION RESOLUTION RESOLUTION....I can claim to run crysis on max but have a 17'' resolution and someone with a 24'' who doesn't read up on benchmarks might think ''oh he can run it fine so maybe I can too''. Going from 1680x1050 to 1920x1200 will result in a noticeable drop in FPS. If you have a 24''-30'' then I think you should wait for the 5870x2 before you get one of the newer cards.
hate to burst everyone bubbles here but a rog mars and a 5870 (according to its supposed OC benchmarks) match each other stride for stride in HAWX and is beat the rog mars with a stick in crysis by itself by a full eh 7fps.
Rumors stated that 5850/5870 is 20-40% faster than 4870x2/GTX 295.

smc s both bang on and far off yes its not as epic as everyone thought (though the 5870x2 will be a DEMON on a card for nivida to topple (because is 1.6times better than he 4870x2 in hardware spec alone).but the power consumption change towards efficiency is significant.. basically you will need a 500 watt to run 1 and a 580watt to run 2 in crossfire. regretablly they will also bottleneck on all but the new i5/i7's from intel in small but noticeable amounts (much like the rog mars).basically this is ati's day in the sun as the 5870 will be less than half of a rog mars and just as good if not slightly better.
