New video card series every year....... WHY?

THE AMERICANS OR EUROPEANS SHOULD TRY TO MAKE SOME NEW LAWS WHEN IT COMES TO COMPUTER HARDWARE EVOLUTION....WHY? BECAUSE IF THE COMPANIES WOULD COME OUT EVERY 2 YEARS WITH SOMETHING NEW SUCH ASGRAPHIC CARDS SERIES THEN WE COULD SEE THE REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SERIES OF GPU'S.........IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY I THINK.....FOR EXAMPLE THE 2XX SERIES FROM NVIDIA AND THE 4XXX SERIES FROM ATI, THESE TWO COMPANIES HAVE BROUGHT LARGE VALUE TO THE MARKET, SPECIALY IN THE MAINSTREAM SEGMENT....I CAN'T REMEMBER WHEN PEOPLE COULD BUY FOR 100$ A VIDEO CARD THAT OFFERS IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE SUCH AS....4670...AND THEN 4850....WOW...THE 4770 IS JUST ABOUT THERE AS WELL...SO WHY DO WE NEED AL THIS IMPRESSIVE HORSE POWER IF MOST OF US CAN'T EVEN BUY IT, THE 5XXX FROM ATI AND THE 3XX FROM nVIDIA WHO IT HAPPENS TO HAVE THE BEST VIDEOCARD ON THE PLANET THE 295...QUITE ONE OF A KIND...PERHAPS SOME YEARS FROM NOW WE SHALL SEE 10XXX SERIES FROM ATI AND THE 1XXX FROM NVIDIA :roll:New video card series every year....... WHY?
I like that a new card series is made every year or two. It's not like you've got to go out and buy the newest card in order to play the newest games on high. I'm pretty sure the 8800 Ultra /GSO is still holding it's own with new gamings coming out. When a new card series comes out all it dose it drop the price of older cards, which is a good thing now that we have SLI and CrossFire. I got a 4870 about a year ago for about $200 Now I can pick up another card for a CrossFire configuration for about $140. Not a bad deal if you ask me... because in 3 or 4 months I'm going to buy another 4870 for hopefully around the 120 - 130 zone and that will boost my FPS in a game like FarCry 2 from the 40FPS to 70+ FPS.New video card series every year....... EDUCATED PEOPLE DO NOT TYPE ALL IN CAPS.

I'd say its good, we get new stuff every year or two and technology evolves. This is how tech advances you know? They keep getting better stuff, they keep earning from it, and they get more better stuff. Otherwise we'd be still living in Geforce 2 days.

Oh and if you don't like the idea of buying these expensive new cards, don't...why do you think you always have to be up to the mark with the tech? Just leave it if you don't care about it....
