speakers question for pc

whats the difference from hooking up speakers to a monitor then it is from the pc? can i have two sets of speakers connected to a pc [or one set of speakers in a monitor and another into the pc]speakers question for pc
If your monitor has built in speakers then you need a audio cable going from the output on your sound card into the audio in on the monitor. You can use a splitter to have 2 audio outputs from one. This way you can hook up speakers and your monitor speakers. Monitor speakers are always bad imo.speakers question for pc
What? My PC has these audio out ports:side, sub, c/sub, %26 outI also have mic and inI get up to 7.1 channels somehow. If your mobo is like mine you should be able.
Hook them both up to the sound card then set both to a regular stereo line out in the drivers.

Those arn't SP/DIF ports, those are analogue audio jacks, spdif is digital
